Kathy Belge

Kathy Belge is a lesbian writer who helps raise visibility for lesbians through her writing and blogs.

Kathy Belge is from Portland, Oregon and makes a living as a full time freelance writer. She writes for newspapers, magazines, the internet, creative firms and individual clients; specializing in writing for the Web and search engine recognition. She is one half of the writing duo Lipstick & Dipstick, an advice column for the queer community that can be found in Curve magazine, the popular magazine for lesbians in the U.S.

Kathy Belge is also the About.com Lesbian Life guide and has been sharing her take on all things lesbian there since 2003.

Kathy Belge came out as a lesbian as a teenager, and enjoys helping other lesbians with coming out and living happy, healthy lives. Kathy has a B.A. from Syracuse University with a dual major in journalism and history. She is a lesbian activist and an advocate plus counselor for LGBT youth, as well as co-author of the book, Lipstick's and Dipstick's Essential Guide to Lesbian Relationships.
